The Micaela Portilla Workshop School is a training centre promoted by CUADRILLA DE AÑANA and subsidised by LANBIDE(ESF) and co-financed by the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL OF ÁLAVA and OBRA SOCIAL CAJA VITAL.

Young unemployed people receive vocational training along with professional practice (real work) so that by the end of the training they are qualified to carry out the trade learned, making it easier to access to the labour market.

Goals:

The main goals at the Schools are:

  • Educational and vocational training of a trade within the field of restoration, specialising in.
    Bricklaying, Woodwork and Masonry.
  • To facilitate labour insertion
  • To restore the Palace-Tower of Orgaz en Fontecha (Álava).

Timetable & Transportation:

Transportation to the School is free.
The timetable is from 08:00 to 15:30.

Requirements

School enrolment requirements:

  • Be between 16 to 24 years old.
  • Be the holder of an Unemployment Card.
  • No need to have graduated from Secondary School.
  • Be interested and willing to learn.
  • Hold a resident's permit (foreigners).
